Mini Madness

I have talked in the past about how I have a hard time sharing "stuff" I create. It's silly. But a real issue, I shouldn't joke about too much.

A few months ago I got some great advice from Gen. Basically she said make stuff you love and it doesn't matter what anyone else thinks.

Simple and to the point.
Dead on truth!
Thanks G!

So that's what I have been doing. And creating has been a lot more fun. I have never submitted to magazines or calls or things like that. Well The Dares contest but that was my stepping stone. My first, just share moment. So it's not like I should care right, lol.

So here are a few mini's I have made over the last few months.
(To see more pictures of the pages inside click on the slide show to the right--->)

This is a flip flop album from a kit from Paper Dillies. I used almost every single thing in that kit plus a bunch of my own stuff. It was fun to do and actually one of my favorite albums I have ever made.

This is a close-up of the album cover. Remember when the Wire Jig thing hit the market and wire was all the rage. LOL! Guess I had a flashback. Love how the wire made the straps of my flip flop though. Good stuff.

How freakin` cute is this album?!?!?!
This is all about my big dawg, Charlie. Love him! Love this album!

This was a plain craft paper cover 8x8 post bound album. I just decorated the front. Which I like so much more than plain album fronts. This is all about our camping times back in 2005. It is FULL of journaling. FULL! Didn't want the kids to forget a single detail.

This is one of my all time favorite things I have ever created. Top 3. It was a board book kit from Paper Dillies. But I added paint and all sort of stuff related to airplanes because it's the story of a little boy named Cameron who loves airplanes. And that little boy is all mine! He LOVES, LOVES, LOVES this mini! He loves me to read it to him and to touch all the pages. So cute!

And finally...

This mini was inspired by another Ali Edwards piece of greatness! She had made an album for Simon to write down all the little things he says and does that she wanted to remember. And this is my take on that. Each page has tons of open space for random photos and journaling. On each page I wrote something to Cameron from me. Words to live by, my hopes for him, advice. Every page is different and there are tons of them. This book does not lay flat. Its big, bulky and will be filled with moments. And I am really proud of this.

Below are some pictures of some of the inner pages.

The vintage label stamp around the title is by Karen Russell for Fontwerks. I LOVE this stamp! Super versatile, ultra detailed. Awesomeness! I even made our Christmas gift tags with this stamp! I so love it! Thanks Kah-Mei!!!!

No album for Cameron would be complete without an airplane in it. So I painted these pages with clouds and pieced the planes.

This is a scraplift page. Loved the look and wanted to recreate it using those rockin` fortune cookie stickers by Karen Russell for Creative Imaginations. Great stuff!

Welp! More pages can be seen in the slide show to the right.
Finishing my wedding album now. Then on to our 2006 camping album and then who knows...
Something mini, I am sure :)
